Thrasher is pleased to announce our sponsorship of the Excavation Station associated with the “A T. Rex Named Sue” exhibit currently open at The Durham Museum located in Downtown Omaha, Nebraska.
The Excavation Station opened on June 8th in conjunction with the Sue Exhibit. It is an opportunity for children to uncover fossils in a dig pit and learn how paleontologists search for fossil evidence, interpret that evidence and identify a dinosaur from the bones. Children will be exposed to additional activities including a book nook, puzzles, color activities and more.
A T. Rex Named Sue was created by Chicago’s Field Museum and has been brought to Omaha from May 25th through September 8th. This exhibit explores how Sue, the most famous T. Rex of all interacted with its world and what we can learn from studying its bones.
Thrasher is excited to partner with The Durham Museum and to be a part of this amazing exhibit. For more information please call or visit www.thrasherbasement.com, http://durhammuseum.org/experience/exhibits/temporary/exhibit-details.aspx?ID=241.
