Thrasher, Foundation Supportworks and the Abide Network

On Saturday September 8, 2013 Thrasher and Foundation Supportworks team had the opportunity to give back to the community. Over 35 employees took part in an effort to restore the foundations for two homes in the Omaha metro region. Between the two homes 6 power brases and 30 wall anchors were installed in an effort to stabalize the foundation walls. This effort, was organized by the Abide Network, an organization commited to transforming the urban community of Omaha.

The dream of Abide is to see Omaha, Nebraska and the cities around the world have no inner city! For years now Abide has bought houses in North Omaha, rehabbed them, and placed families in there who will bring light, hope, and assistance to their community. These Abide houses are transforming one neighborhood at a time. In addition to the manual labor of this project Thrasher and Foundation Supportworks hosted a block party celebrating the abide network and their efforts in the North Omaha community.

Residents of this neighborhood enjoyed hamburgers and hotdogs along with games and fellowship. One of Thrasher/FSI core values is community - enriching the lives of our employees, the community and the nation with the blessings we've been given. Teaming with the Abide network was the perfect way to live out this value, we are glad for the opportunity.
