Concrete Porch Repair Solutions
Concrete is heavy, and when the soil supporting it becomes weak, it can crack and sink. Concrete porches are often subject to extreme weather, moisture and wear and tear, which can lead to cracking, sinking, or more extensive damage, such as cracking, flaking, pitting or crumbling.
Regardless of what's caused your concrete porch to sink, settle or crack, we can fix it. At Thrasher, we offer a comprehensive concrete porch repair and protection system. After lifting and leveling your porch with PolyLevel(R), we use NexusPro(TM) to fill and seal cracks and control joints. Then we apply SealantPro(TM), which permanently bonds with the concrete and protects it from moisture, chemical elements and seasonal changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

At Thrasher, we use PolyLevel for concrete porch leveling because it's a fast and effective way to lift and stabilize sinking concrete. PolyLevel polyurethane foam is pumped beneath the concrete porch slabs through tiny ports about the size of a penny. Initially, PolyLevel flows like water, filling even the smallest cracks and crevices in the soil. It quickly expands and hardens, lifting the concrete slabs above it and compressing the soil around it at the same time. PolyLevel is waterproof, so it will never wash out, and it won't degrade over time due to temperature extremes. It's environmentally friendly, too, with no environmentally harmful chemical leaching. Best of all, PolyLevel cures quickly, allowing your porch to be used normally the same day.

Front stoops and cement porches often sink and crack over time. Extreme weather and wear and tear can cause additional damage, such as cracking, flaking, pitting or crumbling. All of this can be repaired with our suite of concrete repair products. For sinking cement porches with small and mid-size cracks, we use NexusPro to fill and seal cracks after lifting and leveling the concrete porch with PolyLevel.

After lifting and leveling your concrete porch with PolyLevel, our crews fill and seal any cracks as well as control joints. This prevents water infiltration through cracks and joints, which in turn helps prevent the soil below from softening and eroding over time. We use a high quality, silicone-based sealant called NexusPro. It's specially engineered to stand up to harsh weather conditions, and unlike traditional urethane sealants, it is UV-resistant to prevent drying, cracking, bubbling or yellowing.
-
It depends on the method of repair. Most of our concrete porch repair projects come with a five-year warranty and have been proven to last over 20 years. Concrete leveling with PolyLevel expanding foam not only raises concrete porch slabs, but also compacts the soil around it, creating a stable environment that will ensure that your porch remains level into the foreseeable future. Plus, after lifting and leveling your concrete with PolyLevel, we use a high quality, silicone-based concrete sealant on all cracks and control joints to prevent water infiltration, which adds another layer of protection to prevent the soil below from softening and eroding over time. NexusPro stands up to any weather conditions and is UV-resistant to prevent drying, cracking, bubbling or yellowing.

Thrasher does not provide regular maintenance on concrete repair services, but we do recommend that the homeowner take the following steps for to maintain and extend the life of all concrete surfaces:
- Maintain pliable and intact sealant in joints and cracks of the concrete.
- Keep downspouts connected, and ensure water flows away from your porch and other concrete surfaces.
- Ensure sprinkler lines are properly maintained and not over saturating the area near concrete.
After you've had your concrete porch repaired, you may still notice your concrete shift upwards during the winter months due to heave from the frozen dirt below the concrete. This is normal, and usually the concrete will return to normal once the ground thaws.
-
There are several factors that influence the cost for concrete porch repair, including the extent of the damage and the method of repair. When we visit your home for the first time, you can expect a thorough inspection and a thorough explanation of the solution we propose to repair your concrete porch and why. You'll receive a same-day, no obligation estimate for repair, which is calculated by our custom software to ensure a fair and accurate price for every homeowner. You'll also receive a copy of our warranty so you know what's covered and for how long.
