Thrasher Inc., formerly known as Kansas Basement and Foundation Repair, has relocated from El Dorado, Kansas to their new office in Wichita.
Formerly known as Kansas Basement and Foundation Repair, Thrasher Inc. has re-located from El Dorado to their new office and warehouse space on 8853 E. 37 St. in Wichita.
Thrasher, headquartered in Omaha, Neb., purchased fellow Supportworks(opens in a new window) and Basement Systems dealer Kansas Basement and Foundation Repair on Aug. 1, 2017, after operating in adjacent territories for over 20 years. Thrasher's intention was always to move to Wichita but initially wanted to know the area and locate the right building. Supportworks – owned and operated by the Thrasher family – provides products and business tools to a network of more than 130 foundation and concrete repair dealers nationwide.
It is the largest foundation repair manufacturer in the world.
Danny Marrow, the former owner of Kansas Basement and Foundation Repair, wanted to sell the company to the Thrasher family because he wanted to ensure "that his employees and customers were well taken care of." He knew that Thrasher Foundation Repair would stand behind the work he had completed in his 20+ years in business and create new opportunities for his employees to grow and develop.
Thrasher Foundation Repair is excited to serve homeowners in the Wichita, Topeka, and Western Kansas communities and provide excellent employment opportunities for people who live in these communities. Thrasher welcomed 30 former Kansas Basement and Foundation Repair employees to the family in August 2017 and has since added 17 employees to their team, now totaling 47 employees.
"We pride ourselves on providing remarkable experiences for homeowners. We believe it is important to do quality work while communicating effectively with homeowners along the way. One way we do that is by having a thorough and intentional hiring process. We are very intentional about hiring to the company's purpose, mission, and values." says Dan Thrasher, Thrasher's President. "We're very excited to introduce our services and for the opportunity to create more jobs in Wichita."
Not only is essential for Thrasher Foundation Repair to provide a redefining experience for employees and homeowners, but they also want to partner with other contractors in the Wichita area to continue to redefine the construction industry, learn and grow from each other, and to provide customers with remarkable experiences.
Thrasher Foundation Repair also believes in giving back to the communities in which they serve. Thrasher Foundation Repair will partner with different non-profits to give them support and help them provide the necessary services needed in the Wichita area.
Thrasher Foundation Repair currently offers foundation repair services, basement waterproofing, concrete repair, and crawlspace encapsulation.
Thrasher Foundation Repair closed on the former Vatterott Educational Center in June 2018 and began operations in January 2019 after a renovation project was completed. The 30,000 square feet building sits on five acres, equipped with office space, a warehouse, and a training room. This space gives Thrasher Foundation Repair plenty of room for growth into the future. It also provides an excellent facility for employees to come to work each day.
"Working alongside Keller Williams and Conco Construction made our vision a reality," says Gary Mackey, General Manager for Thrasher Foundation Repair's Kansas operations. "We currently have nine crews operating out of Wichita and plan to increase that to 11 by June." Thrasher Foundation Repair prides itself on creating a culture in which employees want to invite their friends to work with them.
