Sagging Floors in Fullerton, NE

This family was ready to remodel their home when they kept finding their floors continuing to sag, even after installing new flooring. They did not know if it was a floor or foundation issue, but thought it would not hurt to have someone out. They had heard of Thrashers reputation and trusted the reviews online, so they gave us a call. System Design Specialist, Daniel Hilkemann, came out to meet with them. Daniel found they had a very small crawlspace that had very little support in the middle of where the floors upstairs where. It was also very humid in the crawlspace, which was another cause of their sagging floors. Daniel came back to the homeowners with these findings and a solution. Together, Daniel and the family talked and decided on the best solution. They decided we install SmartJacks to help stabilize the floors from inside the crawlspace, as well as a Sanidry dehumidifier to help keep humidity levels low. We also installed Cleanspace; a durable, plastic tarp like product that acts as a vapor barrier. This also helps keep humidity and water out of the crawlspace. The family was very happy with the results of the project, and there is no doubt they are having a great time remodeling!

This homeowner was seeing their West and North walls leaning in. She knew this was an issue that needed to be resolved soon so she started her research. She found Thrasher online and saw the great reviews and believed in our reputation, so she gave us a call. System Design Specialist, Christian Hodson, came out to meet with her. Christian did an inspection and saw how the walls were coming in by the pressure of the soil compaction on the outside of the wall. He came back to the homeowner with these findings and a solution. Together, they decided the best solution would be installing PowerBraces and Wall Anchors to both of these walls. PowerBraces are floor to ceiling braces that stabilize the wall to prevent it from moving inward any more, and Wall Anchors are similar, but they are plates with rods that go through the wall and into the yard. Both of these systems can be adjusted overtime to try and get the wall more and more straight. The homeowner loved this idea and we sent out our team. There is no doubt that this homeowner does not have to worry about her walls caving in anymore!
