This homeowner wanted to ensure her property was taken care of and all issues were solved. She wanted to make sure the home she would eventually pass on to her family was in the best shape it could be. She did not want her children to have to worry about problems that were not addressed. She wanted a company to come out and make sure they did the job right the first time. She had heard greats things of Thrasher, and gave us a call. System Design Specialist, Corey Little, came out to meet with her. After doing his inspection, he came back to the homeowner with the findings. He found poorly compacted soil, the heat we experienced this summer helped contribute to the settlement. Joints in the problem area were not sealed, allowing water to weaken or wash away the soil holding up the pad. Concrete did not have a functioning expansion joint, which was leading to some damage from street creep on the garage slab. The slabs in front of her driveway gave her a speed bump into the garage and the walkway to the front door was dropping down. To address this issues, they decided we use Polylevel foam to lift and level the dropped areas. We used NexusPro, which is our caulking, to seal any joints and cracks in the problem areas to prevent water intrusion. We installed a proper expansion joint in the lower drive to absorb the expanding concrete from further movement towards the home. The homeowner was so eager to hear the concrete was not too far gone and could be fixed. We know she now has the peace of mind she needed to pass this home on to her children in the future!
