Thrasher Foundation Repair Before & After Photos

This homeowner wanted to have a dry basement because it was getting harder and harder for him to keep mopping up all of the water. He wanted this problem solved by experts in basement waterproofing, so he gave us a call. We sent System Design Specialist Luke Miller to inspect the basement and determine what was causing water to get into the basement as well as design a comprehensive solution to keep water out. Luke found that the floor/wall join around the perimeter of the basement was leaking water onto the floor as well as through some cracks in the floor itself. Upon seeing this, he knew that full perimeter solution was needed as well as a lateral line to capture water that was seeping in through the floor cracks, so he called for an installation team as per the homeowner's request. One of our installation teams utilized a full perimeter WaterGuard Interior Drainage System as well as a partial height CleanSpace Vapor Barrier. After that, they  installed a lateral line to capture water that was coming through the middle of the floor before it could get into the basement. They topped it off by installing a TripleSafe Sump Pump System to push all of this water up and away from the basement. This homeowner was done with mudjacking. They had gotten their driveway done and a year later their problems were back. They wanted a permanent solution that could address the cracking and sinking of their driveway. Not only was this a trip hazard, but they saw it as an eyesore. They knew of Thrasher and how we offer permanent solutions. They liked the idea of our PolyLevel and knew we would stand behind the work that was completed. One of our System Design Specialists, Rob Griffin, went out to meet with them. He explained that due to loose fill soil, the concrete on the front of their home was experiencing the sinking and cracking. Rob proposed we use the waterproof PolyLevel foam to lift the sinking concrete, as well as Nexus Pro to fix the cracks, and a compression guard to reduce the street creep cracking. The customers loved how the PolyLevel was waterproof, and would not wash away after a year like mudjacking. They also were very happy with how the crew completed the work as promised. There is no doubt that these homeowners have peace of mind for all of the concrete in front of their home. 

Clogged gutters were becoming a constant problem for this homeowner. Leaves, pine needles, and other debris were constantly causing blockages which puts the foundation at risk of water damage. This homeowner noticed some water seeping through the cold joint and did not want to start having water damage. They attempted a quick fix of grading, landscaping, and outdoor waterproofing, but as soon as it happened again, they knew they needed something else to fix it. One of our System Design Specialists, Tony, found water had penetrated the basement through the cold joints, just as the homeowner thought. Although they fixed what they could on the outside, water was still seeping through. After looking into options, we proposed to do CleanSpace on the walls, and WaterGuard in the same area on the ground. CleanSpace is our plastic, waterproof seal that is applied to the walls. It will collect any water that is coming through the cold joints, as well as any water from the block walls that may seep through. This will trickle down to our WaterGuard system, that will direct the water to a sump pump, to push it out and away from the home. The homeowner was very pleased with how everything was installed and how it looks! She gave compliments to the crew, and knew she would have peace of mind not having to worry about the water again. 

The sidewalk to the home of this couple was getting so bad it was becoming an extreme trip hazard for family and friends who wanted to visit. They had been Thrasher customers before, they knew of our reputation and loved the great quality work they received in the past, so they called us back up. Jordan Mullen, one of our System Design Specialists, went out to meet them. Jordan found they had a downspout right on the corner of their home that was dumping water right onto the sidewalk, which caused the soil the wash away from under the sidewalk. This caused the sidewalk to break away from each other and settle. To fix these issues, we buried the downspout out into the yard, so it wouldn't continue to dump water onto the sidewalk. Then we lifted and leveled the sidewalk to the home, using our Polylevel, and sealed all the joints and cracks with nexus pro. These homeowners were very pleased with the work done, and are planning on calling Thrasher again for all of their foundation, waterproofing, and concrete needs.
