Basement Waterproofing & Drainage Before & After Photos

Our customers in Lincoln, NE would have large amounts of water in their basement every time they got large amounts of rain. With plans on selling their home in the future and not wanting to have to deal with the hassle of cleaning up water after every rainfall, they decided to call Thrasher to get their issues resolved. 

The crew came out and found they had a wall failure on one part of the basement creating the majority of their water problems, eventually, over time the pressure from the water could cause this wall to collapse. Our team decided to fix the problem areas with full-perimeter WaterGaurd and PowerBraces. WaterGaurd is an interior drainage system that drains any water getting into the basement to a sump pump and moves the water away from your home. Next, we used PowerBraces to support the falling wall, this is an I-beam that runs the full height of the foundation that is securely fastened to the concrete basement floor. Both of these systems installed now give support to the wall causing the water leakage and will drain other water points getting into the basement.

This customer no longer has to worry about a wet basement or a potential wall failure and can look to sell their home without these lingering issues around their home. 

This homeowner noticed some water seeping through the cold joint and did not want to start having water damage. They attempted a quick fix of grading, landscaping, and outdoor waterproofing, but as soon as it happened again, they knew they needed something else to fix it. They knew of Thrasher and knew they could trust us to provide them with a permanent solution. They knew the quality would be worth the cost and that it would be done right the first time. One of our System Design Specialists, Tony, found water had penetrated the basement through the cold joints, just as the homeowner thought. Although they fixed what they could on the outside, water was still seeping through. After looking into options, we proposed to do CleanSpace on the walls, and WaterGuard in the same area on the ground. CleanSpace is our plastic, waterproof seal that is applied to the walls. It will collect any water that is coming through the cold joints, as well as any water from the block walls that may seep through. This will trickle down to our WaterGuard system, that will direct the water to a sump pump, to push it out and away from the home. The homeowner was very pleased with how everything was installed and how it looks! She gave compliments to the crew, and knew she would have peace of mind not having to worry about the water again. 

This customer fell victim to flooding in their basement when heavy rain struck and the drain tile was unable to provide proper drainage. Referred to us by a company that aided in the cleanup, the homeowner turned to Thrasher for their defense strategy against future water damage.  We installed TripleSafe system which is made with redundancy to ensure water removal even during pump failure or power outages. They can now face storms with confidence using Thrasher's TripleSafe because their basement is fully protected. 

In Linn, KS, Michael P. had been dealing with a frequent wet basement but was ready to waterproof it to make it a fully functional space for their family. Like any homeowner, Michael had multiple bids but ultimately chose Thrasher because of the effectiveness of our solutions and the reputation we’ve built over 45 years in the basement waterproofing industry.

System Design Specialist Dylan Hagen visited the home in Linn, KS, and performed a full inspection of the problematic basement. After explaining to Michael our waterproofing solutions, he opted to have our crews install our full interior waterproofing system. It consists of our WaterGuard interior drainage system, CleanSpace waterproof barrier applied to the full height of the walls,  and a TripleSafe sump pump system to guarantee all water is properly excavated from the basement. Ross, at the local VFW Post 1174 in El Dorado, KS knew it was time to address the water in the basement of the building. This was limiting the storage and workspace that they needed to expand their services to local Veterans. Ross liked the reputation we had on the local radio station, KBFR, and knew Thrasher would get the job done right. El Dorado is located near a large lake, where bedrock is shallow allowing for overflow. This, and the soft soil around the footing of the structure, allows for water and pressure to build up in the fill soil. Over time, this pressure causes water to enter the building through the footing of the foundation. 

For this project, WaterGuard was used at the footing of the foundation, this product is designed for water to flow through the open holes and naturally flow towards a Sump Pump. A TripleSafe Sump Pump was installed for this project, meaning there are three "fail-safes," for the pump. It will work for a large amount of water with the triple backup. CleanSpace was then installed for more protection, as deterioration was starting to happen with years of water buildup.
