Extreme Foundation Repair in Peyton, CO
This customer has lived in her home for quite a while, but recently she's noticed one of her basement walls start to crumble. She's concerned that if it isn't fixed soon the wall could completely fail. The home was built a long time ago and likely had a crawlspace foundation. At some point they dug out the crawlspace and made room for storage and for the HVAC and water heater. Rather than installing a proper concrete wall, they put a concrete skim coating over the dirt wall that was dug out. Over time the pressure of the soil caused the concrete to fail. To repair the wall we used two Smartjack XT to support the floor above, and EverBrace to reinforce the basement wall to prevent any further degradation.
Stabilization with Push Piers and Smart Jacks in Littleton, CO
In Colorado, the soil can cause problems for many foundations. This home was built on special supports called caissons to stop it from sinking into the soil. But there was a mistake—the house sank and twisted because the foundation was too heavy for the caissons. Other contractors thought the walls were leaning, but that wasn't the real problem. Even the engineer didn't put the support piers in the right place to stabilize the whole house.
To fix it, we made a plan to install piers all around the house to stop the home from sinking and to stabilize the foundation. We also used smart jacks to support the main beam in the middle of the house.
Before Thrasher fixed the problems, the homeowner wasn't allowed to sell the house because of the problems it had. But when we fixed it, they said the crews did a good job and finished on time. They were so happy that they even asked us to do more work with concrete for them. They trusted us with their home and we hope you can too.
Stabilizing a Home in Denver, CO
We we able to meet this customer's needs by providing a detailed plan that fit their budget. The customer cared a lot about the property and wanted it to stay stable for a long time. There were two main problems: part of the house was sinking near the edge of the property, and one wall was sinking and moving sideways because of water pressure. We used push piers to lift the foundation up and keep it from sinking in the future. Our team made the necessary changes and the customer was so pleased that they gave us a five-star rating.
Home Without Gutters = Foundation Problems
This homeowner was getting moisture in her basement, so she wanted us to come out and look at her foundation. Her home doesn't have gutters, she didn't think she needed them because of the large overhang she has on her home. Turn out she did need them, moisture was still making its way down the side of the home, causing two sides to settle. To stabilize the home's foundation, we installed nine interior piers.
Push Piers in Boulder, CO!
This customer realized that one of his walls started pulling away from his house and was worried that the problem was going to cause extensive damage to the house. We discovered that settlement combined with the way the wing wall was built caused the wall to pull from the house. This issue also compromised the home's second-level deck. We stabilized this home's foundation by installing five push piers at the corner of the home. Our push pier installation is non-disruptive, can lift the foundation back to its original position, and it has a 25-year warranty!
