Gutter Installation Before & After Photos

Clogged gutters were becoming a constant problem for this homeowner. Leaves, pine needles, and other debris were constantly causing blockages which puts the foundation at risk of water damage. This homeowner wanted to keep his house up, and the gutters had been a long time concern for him. He trusted Thrasher to give him the right solution and a great warranty, so he gave us a call to check out his gutters.

We sent Service Technician Chuck Kain to inspect the state of the current gutter system. Chuck saw that the gutters were falling, full of debris and that the downspouts were crushed so that they could not direct roof water effectively. He discussed our solutions with the homeowner, and he was excited to move forward with the project, knowing that we had the solutions he needed. Our team installed a Royal Brown Gutter Shutter System, new downspouts, and then we buried the downspouts to direct the roof water to the best possible location.

This customer wanted to make sure the water was flowing away from their home correctly. And they especially wanted to make sure their basement was kept safe and dry, in an event they might need to use it as shelter from a storm.

When we visited the home to inspect the property, we found the gutters and downspouts were too small and were getting clogged. They were not running far enough from the foundation and were ripping away from the house in a storm and high winds.

To fix the problem, we installed our gutter shutter system on the home with the oversized trough and a wide mouth outlet. To keep the water away from the foundation, we also buried the downspouts 10 feet away from the foundation, in areas with good grade soil.

The customer was happy and feels better about the safety of her home during storms.

Diane's discharge lines (from her sump system) were obnoxiously long, above ground, AND ran right in front of her front steps. Not only did it look odd, but it was also a significant tripping hazard. On top of that, she also had a downspout discharging directly onto her sidewalk, which would create an ice sheet that would get slick in the winter. So she called Thrasher, and we sent out Breyden Eckhout to do the inspection.

After looking at these issues, it was clear Diane needed Thrasher's help. Breyden proposed a solution and got our install team out to the house to get to work. We buried the discharge lines and downspouts underground using PVC and bubble pots to direct the water away from the foundation. This also took care of the trip hazards by no longer having them above ground in a high traffic area. 

Diane was happy with the results and wished she had done it sooner!

Gary and Donna have a lot of tall trees around their home. After the winter months, they noticed a lot of leaves and debris in their gutters and were concerned about their buried downspouts getting clogged.
