Thrasher Foundation Repair Before & After Photos

Craig and his family have lived in this home for over 30 years. He began to notice a crack in the basement walls and kept his eye on it for years. Craig decided it was time to call Thrasher when he noticed a more visible deflection in the wall. He began to worry that the wall would eventually cave in. Hydrostatic pressure outside of the home builds up pressure around the existing foundation walls. This is due to the soil around the home settling and allowing gaps for water to create pressure, causing the walls to bow. 

For this project, PowerBraces were used to permanently stabilize the existing wall. PowerBrace is a product that is made with galvanized steel and fits the exact height of your walls. A unique feature of PowerBrace is that it is secured at the base of the wall, and has an adjustable feature at the top, allowing for the walls to be straightened over time. Craig and his family can now rest easy that they will avoid total wall failure. 

Roy is a retired Law Enforcement Officer, who is looking at downsizing his home. Before making this decision, on whether to stay, or sell, he knew he needed to get his concrete issues addressed. There was cracking and settlement around his pool deck, driveway, and walkway to the front porch. Roy has used mudjacking in the past, which did not help with his existing problems. Having unsealed joints and cracks allow for moisture to get under the concrete, causing mudjacking to be ineffective, as it allows for soil settlement.

For this project, PolyLevel foam was used in areas under the concrete to fill voids, and lift the sunken areas. NexusPro was then used to seal the cracks and joints of the concrete. This will help prevent water from pooling under the concrete, causing soil settlement. Concrete leveling services are backed by a 5-year warranty that is transferable with the home.

Bernice has severe cracking and shifting with her concrete slabs in her driveway. There were signs of pitting and flaking from moisture-absorbing into the surface of the concrete as well. For this project, her concrete was lifted using PolyLevel foam. After PolyLevel was used to stabilize the concrete, NexusPro was used to seal all the joints and cracks. After Bernice's initial proposal, a TV advertisement was run in her area, for SealantPro to be included for free with concrete repair. She reached out to our Design Specialist, Bobby Bartow, to see if she could use this discount. Bobby was able to rework Bernice's proposal and get her SealantPro for no additional cost. SealantPro is used to help prevent pitting and flaking of her concrete. Through this 3-part system, Bernice can rest easy about her concrete not causing any further issues. 

Homeowner Nevin is beginning to buy and flip houses, and it's important to him to do it right. In this home, he wants to finish the basement but wants to address waterproofing it first. When talking to a few different companies to find the best one to get the job done. He chose Thrasher because of our reputation and clarity when discussing the scope of work. 

Anthony Salcedo inspected Nevin's house. He found the basement had leaking walls and a leaning foundation wall. The best action plan was to install an entire perimeter of wall supports, a complete perimeter drainage system, and a sump pump. 

We installed our water guard system, CleanSpace, to divert any water intrusion through the wall and then installed a sump pump with backup. Next, to fix the leaning foundation wall, we established an entire perimeter of wall anchors to take the weight off and stabilize the failing wall.

Nevin was pleased with the results and happy he chose Thrasher.

A church in Central City Nebraska was experiencing concrete cracking and sinking due to washout and heavy foot traffic. They had Thrasher come out and perform a revival of the concrete by using PolyLevel to lift and level and then NexusPro to seal the joints.
