Sagging Floors in Fort Scott, KS

Randolph had just moved into his home and felt the floors were not well supported. He gave us a call, and we sent out System Design Specialist Levi Ashmore to inspect the house.

After looking in the crawl space, we saw a lot of old supports that were sagging and leaning. In fact, the supports were stacks of bricks and blocks! We also noticed the support beam was in pretty bad shape. This was causing many issues upstairs, including cracks, sagging floors, and uneven doorways.

To fix this issue, we used a steel supplemental beam and steel SmartJacks to support the floor joists in Randolph's home permanently. Getting the connection point where the jack and beam meet and where the jack and the system base connect is crucial. On top of that, we also made sure the bottom of our system got deep enough into the soil to help stabilize since soil washes out and dries up over time.

Randolph was very pleased with his now stable floors!

Water Pooling in Driveway in Aurelia, IA

Whenever it rained, water would pool in Brian's driveway. Brian's kids and their friends often park in the driveway, and he was concerned that they would end up slipping and falling one day. So he called Thrasher to come out and fix this annoying problem. Connor O'Brien, System Design Specialist at Thrasher, went out to his home to look at the driveway.

We found that Brian had several voids under his driveway, which caused the water to pool.

Our solution was easy and simple. We used PolyLevel to direct the water flow and then used NexusPro to seal the joints and cracks.

Brian is so relieved that the water no longer pools, and he doesn't have to worry about anyone falling on his driveway anymore.

Water in the Basement in Salina, KS

Water kept coming into Sharalyn's basement. No matter what she did, for several years, she could not fix this on her own. With plans to give her home to her daughter, Sharalyn wanted to get to the root cause, so her daughter's family didn't have to deal with it. She wanted a long-term solution, not a quick fix. So she called Thrasher. System Design Specialist, AJ Lavoie, went out to her home to inspect and found Sharalyn had water coming in through a crack in the basement wall. This was a sign of deflection, where the wall moves inward due to hydrostatic pressure from outside soil.

We were able to help Sharalyn with PowerBrace to stabilize the wall in her home permanently. We also used WaterGuard to remove the headache of water coming into her basement. And then lastly, we installed our SuperSump Plus to make sure water was being directed away from her home.

Sharalyn was so happy with the final result. And more importantly, she was glad she didn't have to deal with water in her basement anymore.

Settled Garage Approach in Salina, KS

The Magee family hated the way the approach to their garage looked. They had seen Thrasher fix a few homes in their neighborhood and decided to give us a call. AJ Lavoie, System Design Specialist, went out to their home to inspect and develop a solution.

Upon inspection, he found the concrete had settled in several areas at their home due to the washout of soil underneath the concrete. The root of the problem? A leaking buried downspout pipe. This pipe was causing additional soil washout near their garage approach and sidewalk, which caused the concrete to sink further.

Our install team instantly got to work. We lifted and leveled the concrete at the garage approach and the back patio with PolyLevel. Then, we sealed the joints and repaired cracks with NexusPro joint sealant.

The Magee family was so happy with the finished result that Thrasher was able to get to the bottom of it and bring solutions to fix it.

New Concrete Settled 3 Inches in Cambridge, NE

Paul's sidewalks around his home were settling, even though the concrete was only three years old. Not only did he not like the way it looked, but he was also concerned about water finding its way into his basement. He had heard good things about Thrasher, so he decided to give them a call. System Design Specialist, Nate Smith, went out to Paul's home to see what was going on with his concrete. Upon inspection, Nate found that Paul's sidewalks were settling towards the house, with some places settled over 3 inches.

To fix this, we decided to use PolyLevel to lift and level the settled concrete and then went in with NexusPro to seal the cracks. Paul was more than pleased with the final result and thought it would never look as good as it did in the end.
