Thrasher Foundation Repair was called out to lift and level the sinking driveway and sidewalk slabs of this home in Waukee, IA. Using a 2-part approach, we filled voids beneath the sinking concrete slabs with our PolyLevel polyurethane foam to bring them back to level, then sealed the joints with NexusPro to help mitigate erosion of the soil beneath the slabs.

Norma W. in Pella, IA, called us at Thrasher Foundation Repair and reported extreme humidity levels in their basement during the fall season. Our System Design Specialist Jon Patterson arrived at the home and saw that the humidity was higher than any of the homes we inspect during July. To solve this, the customer chose to have our complete waterproofing system installed to keep their basement dry year-round. This system consists of our WaterGuard interior basement drainage system, CleanSpace waterproof barrier, and a SaniDry dehumidifier for excess moisture. Trimble, Missouri - Poor soil conditions had led to voids forming beneath the concrete slabs of this home's walkway. To lift and level the slabs, we injected our PolyLevel polyurethane foam to return support and stability to the sinking concrete. With a tripping hazard repaired and curb appeal restored, the homeowner was very pleased with the final result.

Using PolyLevel, we filled the voids beneath this homes driveway slabs to make them level again. We also sealed cracks and joints with to help protect the concrete from sinking again. The homeowner was happy to know that the trip hazards in her driveway has been repaired, and that she could avoid the cost of replacing her driveway.

After noticing damage to the brick façade of the houses exterior during our inspection, we ruled out settlement as the cause and found that failing walls behind the finished walls in the basement were the root cause of the water problem this homeowner was experiencing. Water had found its way into the basement through gaps created by the shearing walls, allowing mold and rot to flourish in the damp, dark environment.

Using  a combination of PowerBrace beams, a wall anchor and our EverBrace wall support system, we were able to stabilize the basement walls. To resolve the water issue, we installed our WaterGuard interior drainage system along with a sump pump system and vapor barrier to redirected water out of the home. We also installed a SaniDry dehumidifier to resolve the high humidity in the basement.
