This home is celebrating its 100-year anniversary later this month, and to honor that, the homeowner wanted to get some of her worries about the home checked out. She and her daughter had noticed some settlement issues and were concerned it was damaging the inside drywall. The brick home sits on a shallow footing and has settled over time due to the cycle of wet and dry seasons that expand and contract the soil. To make sure this home is standing for many years to come, we installed 12 helical piers on the front porch and side bump out. 

This homeowner is planning to remodel his basement and is tired of dealing with water issues. Before he starts the renovations he wants to ensure the space is waterproof. We determined that hydrostatic pressure was causing water to come through the cold joints and some wall bowing is also resulting from this. We waterproofed this basement by installing WaterGuard, TripleSafe sump pump, and CleanSpace. Now this homeowner can get started on that remodel!

The homeowner called Thrasher to fix their sinking steps before the problem got worse and more expensive to fix the longer it went on. Instead of using outdated Mudjacking, Thrasher used a better method called PolyLevel. Mudjacking can make the problem worse over time and is messy, with slurry coming out of holes and cracks. It also takes a long time to dry. On the other hand, PolyLevel is a modern solution. It uses lightweight polymers to lift and stabilize the concrete. It's clean and fast, and it doesn't put extra weight or pressure on weak soils. This method is great for driveways, sidewalks, patios, and pool decks.

This customer had weak floor joists and beams in their crawl space. This can cause the floor above to sink, slop, or sag. To fix this issue, our team installed our SmartJack system, which is steel columns that are secured to the beams or joists in the crawl space. This permanently lifts and stabilizes the pace. This homeowner was worried about possible foundation issues but wasn't sure what exactly was going on. After inspecting the property, we discovered that he was having settlement issues in one corner of the home and was also dealing with downspouts that weren't directing water far enough from the foundation. We solved this dilemma by installing push piers, which stabilize the foundation. We also buried and extended the downspouts to help keep water far from the foundation.
