Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

Randolph had just moved into his home and felt the floors were not well supported. He gave us a call, and we sent out System Design Specialist Levi Ashmore to inspect the house. 

After looking in the crawl space, we saw a lot of old supports that were sagging and leaning. In fact, the supports were stacks of bricks and blocks! We also noticed the support beam was in pretty bad shape. This was causing many issues upstairs, including cracks, sagging floors, and uneven doorways. 

To fix this issue, we used a steel supplemental beam and steel SmartJacks to support the floor joists in Randolph's home permanently. Getting the connection point where the jack and beam meet and where the jack and the system base connect is crucial. On top of that, we also made sure the bottom of our system got deep enough into the soil to help stabilize since soil washes out and dries up over time.

This homeowner was struggling with the sagging floors on the main story of her home. She decided that this was something that was bringing down her quality of life, so she decided it needed to be fixed and she called us.

Homeowner Tamara noticed her floors were unlevel throughout the home, especially in her kitchen and living room. She had another foundation repair company come out and found that they did not listen or address the actual problem. That's when she called Thrasher. Design System Specialist Zach Hodges came out and inspected what was going on in her home. We found that her span was too wide in her crawlspace, which is what was causing her floors to sag between her existing beams. To fix the problem, we installed supplemental beams and SmartJacks between her existing beams. The SmartJack system permanently lifts and stabilizes and works in conjunction with the existing beams. This leaves a sturdy, permanent fix that actually addresses the issues that caused the floors to sag in the first place.
