This homeowner wanted to fix her retaining wall because it was cracked and she was worried that it would not support anything if it got worse. She knew we had solutions for this problem, so she gave us a call. 

We sent System Design Specialist Daryn Britton to inspect the retaining wall and determine how we could best fix it. Daryn found that the retaining wall was deflecting 4 inches and there was a large crack that was making this possible. Knowing just how to help, our team installed Geolocks to stabilize the wall and straighten it over time. The crack in the wall is not gone, however the retaining wall is once again stable and will no continue to deflect.

This homeowner had wall anchors placed in his home a few years ago by our team, however he had not had any annual maintenance appointments scheduled to ensure that he was properly taking care of the anchors. He decided that he needed peace of mind about whether he was taking care of his wall anchors correctly, so he gave us a call.

We sent Service Technician Jason White to inspect the wall anchors and reassure the homeowner that he was properly taking care of the wall anchors. Jason looked over the installation pictures with the homeowner and pointed out the differences that had already been made since the installation of the wall anchors. The over 100-year-old home was secure and everything was functioning to push the walls back into their original position over time.

This homeowner recently purchased two cabins in Okoboji, one on the water, and one for family to stay in when they came to visit. While she didn't know that her foundation walls were problematic when she purchased the cabin for her family to stay at, she quickly noticed the wall crumbling and she was unsure of what to do. Service Technician Wes Marshall came right over after he finished up his original project to inspect this homeowner's walls. Wes found that the north foundation wall was starting to crumble into pieces and that the wall was starting to slide inwards, past the bottom brick. Wes realized that this was a big problem that could be solved if the homeowner acted quickly. This homeowner was ready to remodel the upstairs of her home, when she noticed that all the floors were sloping towards the middle of the home. She recognized that something was wrong and unstable about her home, so she wanted to fix this issue before remodeling. She gave us a call to have an inspection done on her home.

We sent System Design Specialist Anthony Salcedo to inspect the foundation and give the customer a comprehensive explanation of the problem. Anthony noticed that the floors were sagging due to an interior support beam that was sloping significantly due to a lack of support posts. Anthony and his team knew just what to do, so they began work right away when the customer decided on the solution she would move forward with. The team removed both existing posts and began drilling two helical soil nails deep into the earth. The Helical Piers System can support our SmartJacks, which were then installed so that the home's support beam now has proper support posts that run deep into the earth.
