Thrasher Foundation Repair Before & After Photos

Deb I. and her siblings recently inherited their parent’s home in Grand Island, NE, and they wanted to have it fully inspected to ensure it’s in proper condition. During the inspection, System Design Specialist Brandon Headrick noticed the home’s crawl space had severely high moisture and humidity levels.

To combat the crawl space issues, Deb opted to have Thrasher encapsulate the entire space. Our team began by completely clearing out the crawl space, and then applied our CleanSpace moisture barrier to all floors and walls. To drain the captured water, the crew installed our SmartDrain system that alerts the homeowner if there’s ever a plumbing leak, and if there is it automatically drains the water into a dry well beneath the CleanSpace waterproof barrier. These two products work together to perform the ultimate crawl space encapsulation in order to keep it dry year-round.

System Design Specialist Sheldon Sharp went out to Doug’s home. He was able to see that the top slabs were settling quite a bit and the cracks were very large. The porch was also settling, making it difficult to sit on because of the angle. The crew used PolyLevel to lift and stabilize the concrete. Then sealed the cracks and control joints with NexusPro Joint Sealant. Doug and his family were happy to have peace of mind knowing their driveway would no longer be a trip hazard.

Sean determined the walls were failing due to constant hydrostatic pressure over a long period of time. Kelly chose to have Thrasher install GeoLock wall anchors for the more severe areas and our PowerBrace wall support system on the rest. The GeoLock wall anchors attach to stable external soil to slowly return the wall to its vertical structure over time. The PowerBrace permanently stabilizes the wall in its current position to ensure the safety of the homeowner.
