Thrasher Foundation Repair Before & After Photos

Homeowner Ken H. was struggling with this side patio on his home. There was major settlement occurring in 2 spots and it was affecting the space. He has been redoing his home and was ready to fix the concrete. Looking for a concrete repair solution, he decided to call Thrasher.

We sent System Design Specialist Sam Frei out to Ken’s home. Upon inspection Sam was able to see that the patio was settling in two different ways, away from the home and down the middle, which caused a crack to appear. We were able to repair the concrete by lifting the concrete with PolyLevel. Then we repaired the cracks and sealed the joint with NexusPro Joint Sealant. Ken was happy with the final look of the concrete and excited to be able to use the space again!

Melodie H. recently purchased this home in Overland Park, KS and wanted to repair the concrete before it was to get any worse with time. With the summer season approaching quickly, she wanted all the concrete surrounding the pool repaired and fully functional. She gave Thrasher a call and we came out to inspect the problematic areas.

System Design Specialist Lukas Popp arrived at the Overland Park home and presented to Melodie our concrete repair solutions. She opted to have us install our 3-part protection system that consists of leveling, sealing, and protection. PolyLevel is injected first beneath the concrete to lift and level it, permanently. NexusPro sealer was then applied to seal all cracks and control joints to prevent any water from seeping through in the future. Lastly, SealantPro was sprayed to cover the surface and protect it from any stains and deterioration.

New homeowners Alex and Rachel H. were looking to fix their concrete patio and make sure the necessary repairs were done, to prevent any future problems for their home. System Design Specialist Shane McClintic went out to Alex and Rachel’s home. During his inspection, he found the patio was setting toward and against the back foundation wall. This was causing the concrete to be uneven and crack. Water was also draining towards the foundation. The concrete was also putting a lot of added weight against the foundation wall. From the weight of the soil and pressure from the concrete, the foundation wall was starting to bow in. Shane also identified the crack on the front of their driveway was from street creep.

The crew installed channel anchors to stabilize the foundation wall. Then the patio was lifted and sealed with PolyLevel and NexusPro Joint Sealant to close up the joints and cracks, also making the whole area level again. To help the front driveway, CompressionGuard was also installed to prevent street creep from expanding their driveway. Alex and Rachel were thrilled with the end result and extremely pleased with the knowledge of the crew.

Linda D. is a homeowner in Salina, KS and has watched the concrete in front of her home settle over time. However, it reached a point where she was worried it might cause damage to her home’s foundation and roof. In addition, the appearance of the uneven and broken concrete, and its potential of being a tripping hazard drove her to have it repaired. To begin the restoration, System Design Specialist Brent Randolph arrived at the Salina, KS home to perform a thorough inspection of all affected areas. Brent noticed that the walkway to the front entry was sinking, as well as multiple areas on the driveway. The driveway also had multiple cracks from the lack of support underneath. To combat these issues, Linda opted to have us install our 2-Part Concrete Protection System. The teams began by injecting our PolyLevel foam to lift and level the sunken areas. The lightweight foam is waterproof and stabilizes the concrete permanently. Then, NexusPro sealer was applied to all cracks and control joints to prevent any water from infiltrating underneath. The combination of these two products guarantees the concrete will be ready to stand the test of time.

Linda couldn’t have been more thrilled with the final restoration of the concrete around her home. She was impressed with how effective our solutions are, and quality of work put forth from our team. We sent System Design Specialist, Dylan Hagen out to the home. He was able to identify how the water was coming in. The crew started with installing WaterGuard, which is an interior basement drainage system, that captures water before it reaches the basement floor. Then full height CleanSpace was used to encapsulate the space, to keep the walls dry. Lastly a TripleSafe Sump Pump was installed to capture the water from the WaterGuard system. The homeowner was extremely pleased to know that his basement would stay completely dry!
