This homeowner needed to replace his AC units and he thought this would be a good time to repair the concrete underneath the AC units as well. After looking at the AC units' concrete pad, he thought the only solution would be to break out the concrete and repour a new pad for the new units. He wanted to get a second opinion before he decided on anything, so he gave us a call.

We sent System Design Specialist AJ LaVoie to inspect the concrete slab and determine if it could be fixed without pouring a new slab. AJ say that the soil underneath the AC pad concrete and the connecting sidewalk had eroded over the years, leaving an enormous void underneath it. While he was shocked by the size of this concrete void, AJ knew that he could stabilize it, so he discussed this option with the homeowner. The homeowner was skeptical at first, as this was a massive void under his concrete, but after hearing other options, he gained confidence that we had the right solutions for him. We sent an installation crew to use PolyLevel foam and NexusPro joint sealant to lift, level, and seal the AC pad concrete as well as the sidewalk.

This rental property owner was worried because this rental home he was currently renting to college students was showing signs of damage. There were cracks in the walls in the basement, and there are bedrooms in the basement, so the owner wanted to ensure that his tenants were safe when living in his rental property. We sent Service Technician Spencer Johnson to inspect the property's foundation and basement to determine what was causing these wall cracks to appear. Spencer found that one of the foundation walls was leaning inwards, to the point where the brick siding was breaking and splitting from the home. He also saw there there were cracks in the wall from the severe deflection of this siding more than likely all caused by street creep. After discussing solutions with the owner and determining an installation time, our team got to work installing PowerBraces to reinforce the wall and move it back to its original position over time. A homeowner in Wichita, KS was looking to sell her home with her daughter before the end of the year. She believed that water was coming from the neighbors home and into hers, and her daughter was tired of having to clean up the water mess on the shared wall every time. After looking into solutions online, they decided to give us a call.

We sent System Design Specialist Clint Gerber to inspect the shared wall as well as the perimeter of the duplex to determine where the water was coming from and what solutions would work best for the home. Clint determined that water was getting in through the cold join along the shared foundation wall and that the neighbor's yard had grading that was not doing their water problem any favors. Water was directed directly the their side of the duplex and due to hydrostatic pressure, water only was able to get in through the cold joint. Clint suggested a few solutions that made the homeowner and her daughter extremely excited, so they scheduled a time for installation. Our installation team used WaterGuard Interior Drainage System and CleanSpace Vapor Barrier to keep the basement draining water away from the floor and to direct water into the drainage system only.

After discussing the solutions with the homeowners, our installation team got to work on installing a WaterGuard Interior Drainage System, a partial CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, and a new TripleSafe Sump Pump in the homeowners basement to ensure that water was not seen in the basement again.
